New Practice for Multivariate Fit and Accommodation for Exoskeleton Manufacturers and Designers

1. Scope

The design and engineering of an exoskeleton is expensive. Therefore, designs typically fit more than one person - think one size fits most. However, to accurately fit and accommodate a specific design range of anthropometries, the exoskeleton manufacturer leverages adjustment points on the exoskeleton. Deciding on what adjustment points are more important is the result of a multivariate analysis. F####-##, provided an example of a univariate or single dimension analysis. This standard practice builds upon that knowledge to help manufacturers and designers (Who do not presently leverage a multivariate method) arrive at an understanding of multivariate analysis.
