ASTM WK90702

Revision of F2641-23 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Recreational Powered Scooters and Pocket Bikes

Rationale

The original wording in 6.1.5 was design restrictive. By introducing the non-mandatory language of “should”, we allow the manufacturer to use the opposite orientation provided that the braking system is clearly labeled. The addition of the second brake should not constitute a change in orientation of which brake is activated so as not to confuse riders of both single and dual brake products.
